Year 5 Farming Worskshops

Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic workshop with Aimee from Revive Suffolk CIC and Jubilee Farm in Great Barton, learning about food, farming and healthy living. The children explored what good soil looks like and discovered how nutrients in the soil help plants grow, providing us with the food we need to stay healthy. They investigated different soil samples and found minibeasts that call the soil their home, created healthy food plates featuring foods rich in iron, zinc and calcium, and designed their own seed packets before taking home sunflower seeds to grow. Both Year 5 classes thoroughly enjoyed this engaging and hands-on learning experience.
