We started the new term with a very exciting project with a charity named the Sicon Foundation who are working with the pupils to plant an amazing 1,100 trees to create a micro forest using a diverse mixture of native trees. In about 10 years this will have grown into a fabulous forest space for future pupils. We are very grateful to Natasha from the foundation for all the hard work organising and working with the children over 3 days. Today the children in Early Years each planted 2-3 trees and the children in Key Stage One planted an amazing average of 5 trees each! We’re looking forward to day two with Lower Key Stage Two tomorrow.
