If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below. 

Thurston CE Primary Academy follow Suffolk County Council admissions procedures.

Please call us (01359 230444) to enquire about in-year vacancies or entry at the beginning of any year group other than Early Years Foundation Stage/Reception (entry to this year group is managed by the Local Authority).

In-year applications should be made directly to the school office using the ADM1 application form, which is available here or below.

New Primary School Place

All of the information you will need regarding entry into the Reception Class (EYFS) can be found on Suffolk’s local authority website, which can be found by clicking here.

Admissions for 2027/28 should apply for a primary school place by January 2027 (exact date TBC)

Details about how to apply and further information will be published on the suffolk.gov.uk/admissions from 12 September 2026.

Most parents in Suffolk apply for a school place online. 

When applying online you:

• will receive confirmation of your application by email
• can check or change your application right up to the closing date
• can view the outcome of your application online on the offer day
• will receive an email with details of your school offer on the offer day

Secondary School Place

You must apply for a secondary school place for the 2027/2028 academic year by 31st October 2026. Applications should be made online here.
