End of Term Awards Summer 2025
We held our end of term awards today and were really pleased to present the following awards:
Progress Award
Early Years– Logan has showed incredible progress this term, especially in phonics. Logan positively joins in during our phonics lessons and has grown in confidence when demonstrating his knowledge, particularly in reading.
Key Stage One– For making really good progress with her writing and handwriting. Macey is using lots of imaginative ideas in her work.
Upper Key Stage Two-Lily-Mae has worked really hard to develop her fluency this year resulting in her making great progress with her reading
Lower Key Stage Two –Jamie- Jamie has made fantastic progress this year with reading, writing and maths. Keep up the hard work Jamie!
Effort Award
Kyan has worked so hard in every area of the EYs curriculum. He always follows the Thurston Way and is the first to help his friends when they need it. He has worked so hard to improve his reading and writing especially.
Rory approaches every lesson with enthusiasm and always tries his hardest. This effort can clearly be seen in the growth in his English written work over year 1. Well Done Rory, keep up the good work.
Anoushka is a fantastic role model to others as she always puts 110% effort into everything she does. She approaches all subjects across the curriculum with enthusiasm and perseveres when tasks are more challenging!
George has put lots of effort into his learning throughout his time in Year 5. His attitude to challenge has improved so much throughout the year and he is much more willing to share his ideas and improve his work.
Community Award
Our community award was given to Luca in Butterflys. Earlier this term Luca cut off his hair in aid of the Little Princess Trust, bringing smiles and support to children with cancer. He also undertook fundraising efforts for the charity, including the schools ‘Funky Hair Day’, and raised £890. Luca received three nominations for the award. We’re all very proud of you Luca!
Christian Value Award
Our Christian Values for the Summer term were Service and Truthfulness. The school Christian Value award was given to Eva Kerry in Elephant Class. Eva was initially nominated for the Community Award and narrowly missed out on this, but we felt her work at West Suffolk Hospital volunteering in the gardens, with the Fountain of Flowers in memory of her Papa showed a great example of service to others. Well done Eva.
Outstanding Fridays
All children who have received an outstanding raffle ticket this term were put into a draw today to win a £10 book token. The winners were:
