Our Community Award each term goes to someone who has gone above in their efforts outside of school. The term the award went to Ewan Deacon who has worked hard supporting his aunt who was recently diagnosed with cancer, he ran the race for life with her and has raised over £2,500 for Cancer Research. Ewan has previously been nominated for the community award but lost out last time. Keep up the amazing work Ewan!
We must also give a special mention to Evie Gambrell who was also nominated for the award and has taken part in a 6 mile walk in aid of Parkinsons UK and raised £175 effortlessly completing the 6 mile walk around the Ickworth Estate. Well done Evie, we’re all really proud of you!
This term our Christian Value award was presented to Florence License. Florence joined us at Thurston in Year 5 and has been an incredible asset to the school. She can be relied upon to display all the Christian Values- not just this terms of Truthfulness and Service. We wish Florence every success in the next exciting chapter as she joins TCC.
